Homewood Suites by Hilton - Oakland Waterfront

The front desk set us up in a ground floor waterside room that was perfect for our stay since we had an old dog with us -- quick access to the grassy lawn and walking path was ideal. Also one of us ended up spending a lot of time in the room... view of the harbor was so relaxing - perfect for looking out for the others in the group who chose to go kayaking from nearby Brooklyn Basin.

The hotel was situated in a nice area of Oakland. The staff were friendly and sociable the whole visit. The checkout process was quick and easy.

My husband and I will stay again when we visit Oakland.

My partner was recovering from surgery and needed a first-floor handicap-equipped room. The studio suite was perfect. The sofa pulled out very easily to allow the option of an extra bed. The bathroom was spacious and set up well for someone using a wheelchair, walker, or crutches. The kitchenette allowed us to eat simple meals without the difficulty of going out to eat. We appreciated the staff very much. They were responsive, professional, and supportive. The location was great as we could simply walk outside to nearby benches and flat walking paths right along the shore.

Right on waterfront, lovely morning walk by boats. Nice seating outside with fire pits. Also Lovely to sit outside with morning coffee or breakfast.
